The sport star, the artist,
The author and more.

But you couldn’t stop there could you?
Like a greedy child you continued
As you took….

The mother, the homeless,
The father, the war-weary,
The child, the heartbroken,
The tired and more.

So this New Year’s Eve
Raise your glass
And say the toast
